Kelly Clarkson confirms medication helped her lose weight: \'It\'s not\' Ozempic

Though Clarkson did not name the medication she was prescribed, Goldberg previously revealed on "The View" that she used Mounjaro, which treats Type 2 Diabetes.

Kelly Clarkson revealed that she has used medication to help her on her weight loss journey — but specified she's not on Ozempic, a popular diabetes drug that has weight loss as a side effect.

The Grammy-winning singer said she used weight-loss drugs for the first time on her talk show, "The Kelly Clarkson Show," on Monday, May 13, during a conversation with Whoopi Goldberg.

Kelly Clarkson is opening up about using medication amid her weight loss journey — though not the medication you might think.

In a conversation Monday with Whoopi Goldberg on "The Kelly Clarkson Show," Clarkson revealed she took a prescription drug that helped her lose weight, though she noted it's a "different one than people assume." The "American Idol" alum shared that her doctor "chased" her for "like two years" urging her to get on medication, though she was "afraid" to do so because of her thyroid problems.

"Everybody thinks it's Ozempic," she said. "It's not. It's something else. But it's something that aids in helping break down the sugar. Obviously, my body doesn't do it right."
